Yeah, presents are great and all but it is hard to be a stocking full of delicious candy. Chocolates, candy canes, Santa shaped confections of all sorts… they are all delicious. But should the keto and paleo folks among us be deprived of joyously digging into their stockings on Christmas morning? Should meat lovers not get the same experience of excavating the treasures buried in their stockings?
Of course you could just fill a stocking up with nuts and butter and eggs but what fun is that? But what about some other paleo and keto treats? Or treats for people who just aren’t into sweets and want something more meaty? Here are a few great meat stocking stuffers for the paleo and keto crowd (or just a meat lover).
And as much as I would love getting a big old steak in my stocking here are some different meat sticks and other meat snacks that taste delicious, are low in sugar and carbs, and are a step above what you can just pick up at the gas station.

Mountain Primal Fuel Sticks
Mountain Primal Meat Company is a ranch out of Colorado that raises American Highland cattle. These cattle are leaner than the standard beef cattle and their meat has a richer flavor.
Their “fuel sticks” come in three flavors: Original, Honey Barbecue, and Sweet & Spicy. These Original has 7 grams of protein, 0 carbs, and 0 grams of added sugar. The Honey Barbecue has 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of carbs and the Sweet and Spicy have 3 grams of carbs so those two aren’t quite paleo or keto. All three are 1 oz each.
I really like the flavor of these sticks. The original has just the right amount of spice and the Honey Barbecue and Sweet and Spicy have just enough flavor. If I had to rank them my favorite would be the Original followed by the Honey Barbecue and then Sweet and Spicy. When you eat these meat sticks you can tell they are made from a higher quality of meat than a standard Slim Jim or other mass market meat snack.
Mountain Primal also carries a wide variety of other meats but their fuel sticks run $19.99 for a pack of 9 which works out to $2.22 each. And if you use code CARNIVORE15 you can save 15% which brings the price down to $1.88 each.

Chomps Snack Sticks
Chomps has a great variety of flavors of their snack sticks available. These sticks are made from grass fed beef and venison and pasture raised turkey. All the sticks have zero sugar and zero carbs and 9 or 10 grams of protein.
If you are looking or a true paleo or keto or Whole 30 snack option these Chomps Snack Sticks are a great option. The trial pack ($19.99 for 8 sticks) contains an Original Beef, Jalapeno Beef, Italian Style Beef, Sea Salt Beef, Cranberry Habanero Beef, Original Turkey, Jalapeno Turkey, and Salt & Pepper Venison. All the sticks weigh in at 1.15 ozs.
These sticks aren’t necessarily my favorite of the bunch but the variety of flavors and the zero carbs and sugar are a big selling point. The texture of the meat is much smoother than most other meat sticks I have had and the meat seems to be ground finer. Most of the beef flavors are pretty decent but the turkey isn’t my favorite at all. These Chomps sticks basically taste healthier than most others. Some people really like that aspect of them.
A trial pack with each of the flavors runs $19.99 ($2.49 each) or you can order a 10 pack of the individual flavors for $22.50 ($2.25 each). They also sell “Chomplings” which are smaller sticks (1/2 oz each) and those run $28 for a box of 24. All orders ship for free as well.

Vermont Smoke and Cure
Vermont Smoke and Cure might be my favorite meat sticks of the three. All the flavors I have had have been delicious. You can get Original beef and pork, uncured turkey pepperoni, bbq beef, ancho pepper turkey, smoked chipotle beef and pork, honey mustard turkey, uncured bacon, uncured pork pepperoni, jalapeno lime grass fed beef, and maple teriyaki grass fed beef.
Some of the Vermont Smoke and Cure meat sticks have zero carbs and some others have 1 or 2 grams of carbs. The protein content ranges from 6-8 grams depending on what you get.
And if you want a real treat order a few sticks of the Vermont Smoke and Cure pepperoni. This is pretty much the perfect pepperoni for a pizza or just for cutting up and eating.
I love the texture and flavor of these sticks. You can tell you are eating meat and there is a good mouth feel along with a great flavor. The flavor doesn’t overpower the meat but gives enough flavor that you know you are eating a snack.
Vermont Smoke and Cure sticks are $32.95 for a 24 pack so only $1.37 each. If you want a variety pack those run $17.99 for a pack of 12 and the grass fed beef sticks are $49.99 for 24.

Snake River Farms American Wagyu Beef Jerky
I am sure you have had beef jerky in the past but you have never had anything as good as this Snake River Farms American Wagyu Beef Jerky.
Of course the whole carcass of the steer can’t be ribeyes and filets so Snake River has taken some of their other cuts (most likely round???) and has turned them into some amazing beef jerky.
This jerky uses the great Snake River Farms American Wagyu beef but it is made by Oberto. Oberto makes the best mass market jerky in my opinion. Combine their jerky skills with the quality beef from Snake River and you have a real treat.
1 oz of jerky has 3 grams of carbs and 10 grams of protein so it is a snack that can totally fit in a keto diet. But this stuff is so good you will probably have trouble stopping at 1 oz. Maybe you have more self control than I do though.
6 bags of this jerky (15 oz total) runs $49.99. Fill a stocking with this and you will see a very happy person on Christmas morning.
